Meet Terrance McMahon
TEDx Speaker, Bestselling Author of Superhero Self, Viral TikTok Mentor, Podcast Host and Founder of The Re-Create App
In 2016, Terrance McMahon was sitting in a hospital room dying from liver failure. Doctors said he had 90 days to live and that his chances of finding a match for a liver transplant in time were slim. So slim that it wasn’t until the end of his 90-day death sentence that a liver from a young prisoner in Alabama was deemed a match.
Given a second chance at life, Terrance decided to recreate himself from a multi-millionaire morbidly obese, alcoholic CEO of MassMutual-Northern New England to a healthy and sober business coach, speaker, podcast host, bestselling author and mentor.
Today, he’s living the life he’s always dreamed of — and he’s doing it on his time.
Since then, Terrance has helped thousands of people recreate themselves
using algorithms to avoid unnecessary pitfalls and take the right steps towards building a business that revolves around their lifestyle. Not the other way around. He doesn’t just help people make money. He helps them develop the tools for complete freedom.
Terrance is the author of four books, including the best-seller Superhero Self: How To Recover From Anything, and his TEDx Talk, Broken to Beautiful: An Algorithm to Recreate Yourself, has over 100,00 views. His podcast, The Terrence McMahon Podcast, has over 500 5-star reviews.
This past year, Terrance started creating 1-minute mentoring videos on TikTok that have since gone viral. He has over 247,000 followers, and his videos have received as many as 500,000 views. Always looking for ways to make his expertise and coaching more accessible, Terrance launched The Re-Create App in 2021 as the ultimate pocket mentor.
Terrance McMahon grew up as one of six children in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He attended the University of Massachusetts-Lowell on a baseball scholarship but dropped out to provide for his new wife and baby on the way. Prior to his personal transformation, he worked as a door-to-door life insurance salesman, ultimately finding his niche as a Managing Partner. He later worked for MassMutual and was made CEO of MassMutual-Northern New England. Under Terrance’s leadership, the company ranked among the top in the country, with his hundreds of agents and brokers managing over a billion dollars in assets. He is an advocate for Organ Donor Awareness.
